One Month

Wow I cannot believe it has been one month tomorrow since we moved to The Woodlands! Wow...some days it feels like we have lived here years and others like it was yesterday I was spending my last night as a California at my parents house with the kids. If I had my parents, family and friends here The Woodlands would be the perfect place! We just love the area and all that it offers for our family!

Since we have moved I have taken a huge step and joined the athletic club here and let my precious lil babes play at the 12k square foot kids gym. Jack loves it there and cries when I pcik him up! And Gracie wasnt sure about leaving Mommy day 1 and then couldnt wait to go back! They have Gracie doing rotations from sports, outside games, playing house, and crafts. She is even going to start ballet there Wednesday. And when I miss the lil ones I can watch them from my tv on the precor or anywhere throughout the gym on the tv's. My pager has only gone off once and it was a fluke! So proud of the kids and me for letting them go! I can go to the pool, get a massage, sit in the sauna and have wine, have a meal or actually workout!

We love playing with our new friends here which makes life fun and love all the fun activities planned while the weather is ideal. I hear its going to get quite warm and humid soon! Our yard is like a park of our own and the kids just love it!

Gracie is my lil pal always helping me and telling me that her baby does the same things Jack does like play with the cords, screams and acts wild she just doesnt know what to do! Jack is getting so big and he is just the most social happy going guy! He loves our cul d saq of kids and just walks on in the houses and is ready for fun!

We are having an Easter Egg Hunt party for the kids which they are very excited about and Gracie is so excited to help plan the party!

Here is a little about The Woodlands where we live if you are curious!
No. 14: The Woodlands, Texas
Courtesy of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau
To locate America's best places to move, we looked at "Relovilles" with populations of 25,000 and over. Using data from 2000 to 2007 Census records, we looked for the number of people in each town who were born out of state or abroad, who had moved to town from a considerable distance within one and five years, and who had moved for a job. These were weighted more heavily than other factors considered, such as Census data for population growth, family incomes, people in executive and professional jobs, and the price, size and age of homes, along with reports of moving van companies, changes in school enrollments, the proximity of multinational companies, and the observations of local builders, government officials and residents. Places with populations of less than 25,000, with large numbers of low-wage immigrant workers and with rotating populations of college students, retirees and inmates of prisons were ruled out. *Note that figures for race do not total 100 because of rounding, Hispanics of different races and exclusion of native Hawaiians, American Indians and other races.
